POIETO is a creative technology and arts education organization dedicated to expanding access to creative expression, digital literacy, and community wellbeing.
Through media arts, sound design, movement, creative coding, and critical AI literacy, POIETO creates learning experiences that connect artistic exploration with technical skills and personal expression.
Our healing-centered approach recognizes that communities bring their own cultural knowledge, strengths, and ways of making meaning. We work collaboratively with educators, teaching artists, and community organizations to develop accessible, culturally responsive experiences that support creativity, connection, and wellbeing.
POIETO believes technology should serve people and communities, creating opportunities for participants to explore their identities, develop new skills, and share their stories.
POIETO develops and facilitates creative technology and arts education programming for youth, educators, and community organizations.
Our programming includes sound design and digital storytelling, movement and interactive technology, creative coding, AI literacy, and digital safety. Activities combine hands-on artistic practice with accessible digital tools, supporting creative confidence, collaboration, cultural expression, and community connection.
We also offer professional development opportunities for educators and adults supporting young people, with a focus on healing-centered creative practices, responsible technology use, and culturally responsive learning.
Programs can be adapted to the needs of participating communities and educational settings, with an emphasis on accessible technology and meaningful creative engagement.
